High-Alpine Dream Peaks in the Southern Ortler Group
Experience pure ski touring pleasure in the realm of the 3,000-meter peaks
The Ortler Group, stretching between South Tyrol, Lombardy and Graubünden, is one of the most spectacular regions for ski touring in the Alps. Surrounded by massive glaciers, majestic 3,000-meter peaks and endless snowfields, this guided ski touring week offers the perfect combination of challenge, nature and alpine beauty.
In the southern Ortler area around the Forni Basin, we explore classic high-alpine routes to some of the most famous summits: Pallon de la Mare (3,703 m), Cevedale (3,769 m), Monte Vioz (3,645 m), Pizzo Tresero (3,602 m) and Monte Pasquale (3,553 m). Each tour offers breathtaking panoramic views and rewarding descents through untouched alpine terrain.
Accompanied by a certified mountain guide, participants experience the highlights of the Ortler ski touring region, combining technical skill with unforgettable glacier landscapes and a true sense of adventure.
Program:
| Day 1: | Marteller Hut We meet in the Martell Valley and climb together to the Martellerhütte (2,610m - 440m). |
| Day 2: | Southern Zufallspitze (3,757 m) From the Martellerhütte we climb over the Fürkeleferner to the Südliche Zufallspitze (3,757m - 1,187m) - descent to the Larcherhütte (2,608m). |
| Day 3: | Palon de la Mare (3,703 m) From Rifugio Larcher via Vedretta de la Mare to the Palon de la Mare (3,703 m 1,116 m). Descent via the Ghacciaio del Palon de la Mare to the Rifugio Cesare Branca (2,493m). |
| Day 4: | Punta San Matteo (3,678 m) From Rifugio Cesare Branca via Ghacciaio dei Forni to Punta San Matteo (3,678 m - 1,390 m), descent to Rifugio Cesare Branca and change to Rifugio Pizzini Frattola (2,706 m). |
| Day 5: | Cevedale (3,769 m) From the Pizzini hut ascent to the Cevedale (3,769m - 1100m) and long descent into the Martell Valley. |
Notes
The program is adjusted to current snow and weather conditions and may be modified by the mountain guide if necessary. On request, the itinerary can be customized to the group’s fitness and goals — whether you prefer to summit multiple peaks in one day or enjoy shorter, scenic ski tours in the Ortler Alps.
