Saslonch - Langkofel 3.181m

The Sassolungo, or "Saslonch" as it is known in Ladin, is the main summit of the Val Gardena mountains and a must for all Dolomite fans. Although it is not particularly demanding when it comes to the technical aspects, it is a classic climbing tour in alpine terrain that should not be underestimated, especially in terms of route finding and length. The tour requires a good level of physical fitness.

It is no coincidence that in mountaineering circles the term "Sassolungo weather" is used when the weather is fine, as stable weather is a basic requirement for this summit.

The tour via the normal route to the Sassolungo is rarely overcrowded, despite the fame of this unique Dolomite peak.
