Round tour of the Odle group
Breathtaking 360° views
Program:
The Odle are the landmark of the Villnöss valley and, in the opinion of many South Tyroleans, the most beautiful mountain group in the Dolomites. A large part of the Odle group lies in the Puez-Odle nature reserve.
Together we hike around the imposing mountain range in two days. We cross beautiful flower meadows, hike along calming forest trails and via paths along impressive scree slopes. We always have the marvellous backdrop of the Villnösser Geisler right at our fingertips.
In two days, our tour takes us over approx. 24 kilometres and 1,780 metres in altitude around the Villnösser Odle group. The Roa Scharte on the first day and the Pana Scharte on the second day are the biggest challenges we will face on this tour.
Day 1 | Starting from Zans, we hike along a forest path up to the Kreuzjoch on the first day. We continue downhill and then over gravel fields to the Roa Scharte. From there we hike to the Regensburger Hütte - our accommodation for the day. |
Day 2 | On the second day, we first hike along a forest path and through meadows in the direction of the Pana Scharte. Once there, we enjoy a wonderful view of the Villnösser Geisler. After a short breather, we tackle the somewhat more challenging descent to the Pana Scharte. The path is partly secured by wire ropes and after a short time leads into numerous serpentine bends in the scree. We continue our hike along the beautiful paths of the Adolf Munkel Trail to the Geisler Alm. Once there, we hike via the Glatsch Alm to Zans - our starting point. |
