Horseshoe Tour

Seven days of nature and adventure

The Horseshoe Tour is a seven-day high-altitude and long-distance hiking trail in the Sarntal Alps.

During the multi-day hike in the heart of South Tyrol you will experience its unique nature up close. The horseshoe tour has a lot to offer, from alpine terrain to flower meadows, traditional alpine refuges, impressive peaks, as well as mountain crossings and deserted paths. Adventure, fun and sweat are certainly not to be missed.

During this seven-day hiking tour, you will repeatedly be rewarded with stunning views of the South Tyrolean Dolomites, the Zillertal Alps, the Stubai Alps, the South Tyrolean Ortles region and the Brenta Group.

We start the Horseshoe tour from the Villanderer Alm - one of the largest high-alpine plateaus in Europe. From there we hike counterclockwise over seven stages to our destination: the "Stoanernen Mandln" (stony men) in the Sarntal Alps.
