General terms and conditions of alpinist.it
1. General
It is pointed out that it is assumed that each participant has carefully read and fulfils the requirements stated in the tour descriptions (physical condition, technical knowledge and equipment). The mountain guide is entitled to exclude participants who apparently do not meet these requirements from the tour or to cancel the entire tour for the same reasons.
It is the responsibility of the participants to carefully check the tours in advance and to make a self-critical selection. They are also obliged to inform alpinist.it in advance of any health restrictions.
2. Registration
Early registration is of great help in planning the desired tour. You can register by sending an e-mail to info@alpinist.it. The booking is confirmed as soon as the deposit has been received.
Deposit for day tours (also with overnight stay in huts):
200€
Deposit for week tours:
600€ per participant
The deposit will be offset against the agreed final amount when the tour takes place. First name, last name, address, and tax number are required for issuing the invoice. Payment data under point 8.
3. Cancellation by the participant
In the event of cancellation or withdrawal by the participant, the following costs will be charged, depending on the time of cancellation:
Cancellation for day tours (also for day tours with 1 overnight stay in a hut):
For 30 days and more before the planned start of the tour, a lump sum of 200 € will be charged.
From the 29th - 15th day before the planned start of the tour, 70% of the agreed rate will be charged.
From the 14th day before the planned start of the tour, 100% of the agreed rate will be charged.
Cancellation for weekly tours:
From 3 months before the planned start of the tour and up to one month before, a flat rate of € 600 and the expenses incurred will be charged.
From the 29th - 15th day before the planned start of the tour, 70% of the agreed rate will be charged.
From the 14th day before the planned start of the tour, 100% of the agreed rate will be charged.
The written receipt of the cancellation notice is decisive for the determination of the cancellation deadline.
4. Cancellation of the tour
If the day tour is cancelled up to 3 days before due to weather or conditions, the deposit of 600 € can be used for other tours for another 15 months.
If the tour is cancelled due to weather or conditions and mountain guides and clients are already at the hut, the mountain guide's minimum rate of €400 shall apply. Cancellation of the tour due to weather conditions and the general safety situation is at the sole discretion of the mountain guide, who will make the assessment to the best of his knowledge and belief, and after careful consideration of all underlying available information.
For weekly tours, the tours are adapted to the conditions and the weather. Even if not all tours scheduled in the programme are carried out, the agreed price applies.
5. Cancellation by alpinist.it
Up to 20 days before the planned start of the tour, alpinist.it is entitled to cancel the tour. Likewise, alpinist.it may, for safety reasons or other unforeseeable justified circumstances, alter the programme or the itinerary or, for the same reasons, cancel the tour that has already begun.
If the required number of participants for group tours is not reached, alpinist.it reserves the right to cancel the tour. The minimum number of participants required will be stated in advance if possible.
In the above-mentioned cases and subject to the minimum tariff stated in point 4, the deposit paid will be refunded in full by alpinist.it or rebooking options will be offered by alpinist.it.
6. Insurance and liability
According to Article 13 of the South Tyrolean Mountain Guide Law, mountain guides are covered by liability insurance. Furthermore, each participant is insured for return transport by helicopter. Additional private accident insurance and travel cancellation insurance are recommended for tour participants.
7. Photos/promotional material
Participants agree that photos and videos taken during the tour may be published by alpinist.it on social networks and used for its direct promotional purposes. Photos and videos may only be passed on to uninvolved third parties after explicit consultation and agreement with all participants.
